Questions and Answers
Q: Why 30 days?
A: I have heard it said that if you do something for 30 days it is easier to keep doing it than it is to stop. I figure we should enlist the power of habit and put it to work in your favour. If we map out a routine for 30 days then by the end of that time you should be feeling mentally and physically great and motivated enough to continue the routine - and improve on it.
Q: I haven’t yet tried your range. Should I take the 30 day challenge?
A: I would recommend not. Get a trial pack first and see what they do to your body.
Q: Can I change the snacks to one or more of your other snacks?
A: Sure. The reason I chose those is because they are raw and if you are like most people you eat too great a percentage of your food cooked and processed and you take in too few healthy fats. But if you prefer others, just specify them in the notes when you place your order and I will oblige.
Q: I am trying to cut down my sugar intake and those items have a fair percentage of sugar in them. Won’t that be an obstacle for me?
A: If the majority of the sugar in your diet comes from my bars and slices I think you would be fine. It’s when we load up on sugar, especially the bad sugars, in many of the things we eat that we overdo it. The sugar in these itesm comes from dried frutis, maple syrup, honey etc. Dried fruits have so many health benefits you would not want to be without and I use the honey as an antibacterial, antimocrobial agent. Also, maple syrup has anti-diabetic and anti-cancer properties.
Q: Could I live on the items in this Challenge pack?
A: Even though it probably contains twice the variety of ingredients that are in your present diet I would not recommend it. I would like to see plenty of fresh salad vegetables as well as some lightly steamed vegetables and some B12 rich protein in your diet as well.
Q: If I order two packs at once can I get a discount?
A: You drive a hard bargain! OK. I’ll include some extra bars or slices for you!
Q: Apart from those very general recommendations do you have any more specific suggestions for my other meals?
A: Yes. I would go to George Mateljan’s site and do his food advisor survey based on your current eating habits. After doing it you will be presented with a list of nutrients in which you are most likely deficient as well as some recipes for meals that will help reduce the deficit.
