Fennel Seeds
Fennel Seeds (botanical name: Foeniculum vulgare) are highly aromatic and flavorful. Originally from the shores of the Mediterranean it is now grown widely around the world.
Some of its properties are:- carminative (prevents or relieves flatulence)
- anti-spasmodic
- expectorant (helps bring up mucous from the lungs)
- stimulant
- aromatic
- anti-inflammatory
- diuretic (increases urination and reduces water retention)
- rubefacient (dilates capillaries, increases blood flow and produces redness of skin)
