Premium Power Bar

Gluten and Dairy Free

This is my mid-range bar. It has 33 healthy ingredients in it, is quite dense, very filling, delivers lasting energy and has a complex flavour.

With the success of the Energy Booster Bar I thought, “Well, if a whole bunch of people are going to consume this, I better make it as healthy as I can!” So I went to the Loving Earth web site, from which I had purchased the Maca and Cacao powders and Goji Berries for my own use, looked at what was available and bought a couple of thousand dollars worth of ingredients with which to formulate the most healthy snack bar I could make.

The first attempt was not the most palatable thing ever tried, I can assure you! So I found the offending flavours and reduced the amount of them in the recipe. After more trials and testing the result became the Premium Power Bar.

As you can see from the list below, it has over 30 ingredients. This gives it a far more complex flavour than your oats and sugar type muesli bar. But you’d never call an oats and sugar type muesli bar a healthy snack!

Each bar is at least 56 grams and purchasing by the kilo they work out at $3.34 a bar. I have been told this is way too little to be charging for the number of ingredients and the amount of work that goes into making them.

Ingredient List for Premium Power Bar

In the interests of full disclosure, some people find this bar gives them a bit of gas. It has certainly been known to fix any hint of constipation for one or two people, so I really don’t recommend you eat two or three of them on your first sitting! Not that most people can. Slender women can only eat a third to half a bar at a time. If you find gas a problem I read that a charcoal tablet will act to absorb gas in your system. Let me know your results.
